Our Approach

Who We Are

Welcome! We are The Well, a new charitable initiative moving to Blind River. We want to serve you along with the rest of this community, with a special focus on ministering to, mentoring, and entertaining the youth in the area. We have a special focus in student development and a background in Church work, and are very excited to plant a new community for the first time! We want to regularly connect you to the Power of Jesus, and be there to walk with you in your day to day life.

Our Story

Racheal, Andrew, and Alex met in Bible College, and all have a love and devotion for Student Ministries. We have seen how a fun and welcoming environment can help foster growth in youth and in their lives, relationships and spiritual journeys. We want to create a real community that can be transparent with one another, in the belief that this will help us grow. We believe that there is a place for each person in this community to get involved and grow in the unique gifts they have been given. We are dedicated to learning how to serve Blind River and becoming a part of the community. We want The Well to be a place where people can find belonging, hope and the love of Jesus. "

We are always curious to know more, and to get better at serving you. We want to always learn modern ways of ministry, and explore new ways to share The Good News.

Alex grew up in Iron Bridge, just West of Blind River. He attended Algonquin College for Interactive Multimedia Development, and Master's College and Seminary for his Bachelor of Religious Education. Over the years he has gained experience in both Technology and Ministry, and loves it when those 2 worlds combine. When he's not working at The Well, he can usually be found doing his other job of Web Development, delving deeper into his hobby of Astro Photography, spending quality time with his friends and family, or scarfing down a Shawarma.

Andrew grew up in Markham and the Ottawa Valley, attending Ottawa Valley Pentecostal Camp as a lifeguard, and graduated from Master’s College and Seminary with a Bachelors in Religious Education. While attending school, he worked for at summer camps including Circle Square Ranch at the invitation of Alex. After Alex had moved on from CSR, Andrew invited their mutual friend Racheal to work there as well. One thing led to another and eventually he married Racheal and they moved to Perth where Andrew was a Youth Pastor for two years. In his spare time, he enjoys playing with their two year old St. Bernard mix, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and playing airsoft whenever he gets the chance. He has a long background working with children and youth as a Child and Youth Worker and Child Care Therapist working in a couple of group homes and a treatment center near Belleville.
